Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a 126-unit HUD Section 8 housing community. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Property Manager and coordinating with on-site staff including the Leasing Specialist, Service Coordinator, and Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include leasing support, program compliance, resident relations, and financial and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Property Manager with daily operations and scheduling
Serve as a primary point of contact for resident communications and in-person visits
Support leasing activities, including move-ins, annual recertifications, and waitlist management
Process rent payments, vendor invoices, and maintain accurate financial records
Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate with the Maintenance Technician to ensure timely completion
Prepare and maintain resident files in accordance with compliance regulations
Provide general administrative support including filing, document preparation, and data entry
Ensure all leasing and compliance documentation is accurate and complete
Uphold strong resident relations by addressing questions, concerns, and service requests professionally
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience in customer service and/or apartment leasing; accounting or administrative background is a plus
Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail with a sales and customer service mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance required
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
Must successfully pass a background and drug screening (convictions do not automatically disqualify candidates)
